The Bible talks about how God provided meat for the Israelites in the wilderness. What was this meat? Quail
My friend was curious to know what word I was going to put for ‘Q’
Here it is:
Q – Quite out of the ordinary
U – unexpectedly
A – abundant supply of meat (quail)
I – infiltrated the atmosphere
L – lining dwellings with fresh, (protein-rich) food
When you desire something, you start to imagine it and your thoughts become preoccupied with it. Sometimes you dream about it and very often you day-dream about it. Imagine those people who were living in the wilderness for so many years after leaving the bountiful land of Egypt. They complained to their leader, Moses that they missed the food back in Egypt while they were slaves there. Read Exodus 16 about how God provided quail and manna for the Israelites in the wilderness.
Quail is that supernatural provision provided by God in response to the deep longings of people’s hearts. What a merciful and caring God we have. Our response should be gratitude for the goodness of God towards us. Never forget to have a thankful heart – it is medicine to the soul. ◊
