N for Noah
N – no
O – other
A – anchor
H – holds
In that mighty flood, no other anchor held but the mighty, strong anchor of God. Everything was swept away besides the ark and its occupants.
In the storms of life, everything is swept away and we feel like we are going to drown. But those who call upon the strong and mighty Deliverer are plucked from the swirling waters and set on higher ground.
Like the ark of Noah, that finally perched itself on Mt. Ararat, those who put their trust in the mighty power of the Almighty God, are rescued from the situations that try to defeat and destroy them.
The ark was Noah’s source of protection and his salvation from the great flood. What is your source of salvation from your big flood?
Some put their trust in things, some put their trust in people, but I put my trust in the Maker of Heaven and Earth, who is the sure foundation and the anchor of my soul. What about you?
Hebrews 6:19 tells us, “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.”
Read what the Word of God says:
“No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength. A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save. But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you.” Psalms 33:16-22 NIV
